A place to remember the people who made us who we are.
The more I read and research, the more I realize how unique and rich our family heritage is. Our family goes back to the 1600s in America on the Giles, Swan, Christensen and Clark lines. I have a number of journals and documents piled in file cabinets and boxes. As I get time, I'll scan them in and publish them under the appropriate family line--and include stories as I learn them.
I hope you enjoy this blog and have fun learning about your family. Perhaps you can use it for Family Home Evenings. In any case, know that all of your family, here and above, love you very much.

I loved reading that. Did grandma write those poems at the end? The first one had me in tears for about 10 mins. My heart broke for dad and grandma both (more dad though)
great site mom! Thanks for posting!
Thanks. No, she didn't write the poems. If I remember right, one of them was a newspaper clipping, and the other she kept on a little card. She had them for many years. I remember her showing them to me early, not long after we were married. They meant a lot to her, but I was surprised to see she had included them there.
Mom this is awesome I have been sitting here all evening enjoying family history. I knew some of Grandmas stories but that is so interesting to learn more about. Thanks for all your effort with this, its great and so important makes me realize I need to keep better journals. ugghh!
